At the Indiana Democratic State Convention in Indianapolis, Jessica Bailey was officially chosen as her party’s nominee for state comptroller, with her nomination presented by Sen. Rodney Pol Jr. Now in her second term as Porter County Clerk, Bailey told delegates the comptroller’s duties mirror the work she already does — “I would just be doing all of these tasks on a broader scale,” she said — while pressing her central theme: “Every elected official should care about transparency.”
